Woman Charged With Exceeding Authorized Access to a Computer
On October 22, 2009, in California, Rhonda Duncan was charged with intentionally accessing a computer and exceeding her authorized access. Duncan, while an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) employee, accessed electronically stored Federal tax information on the IRS's electronic system 10 times without authorization.
