Lithuania Tax: Withholding Tax on Interest Payments Revised in Lithuania
Corporate Tax Law in Lithuania has been revised in August 2009, bringing some changes about withholding tax rates on interest payments.
According to the modified tax law, the 10% withholding tax rate on interests is abolished if the interest payment is made to a foreign body located in a EEA member state, or in a country which has signed a tax treaty with Lithuania. Interest withholding tax revisions will go into force beginning 2010.
