Czech Vat: VAT Rates May Change in the Czech Republic

The Parliament Chamber of Deputies accepted a change in the current Value Added Tax (VAT) rates which will result in a raise of the current VAT rates in the Czech Republic. After being accepted by president, VAT rates in the Czech Republic will raise 1% from 19% to 20% beginning 2010 Jan 1. The special reduced Value Added Tax rate will also raise 1 percent, from 9% to 10%.
