California Tax: IRS office open Saturday to help with tax troubles

04 June 2010 -- The Internal Revenue Service office in San Marcos will open Saturday as part of a nationwide open-house program to help people solve tax problems.

IRS professionals will help people dealing with notices and payments, return preparation and other issues.

About 200 IRS offices across the nation, including nine in Southern California, will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The IRS office in San Marcos is at 1 Civic Center Drive. For more information, go to the IRS website, irs.gov, and search "contact my local office."
