Ireland Tax: Taxback.com to represent Ireland at European Business Awards

04 June 2010 -- Specialist tax services provider Taxback.com will represent Ireland at the 2010 European Business Awards.

This is the third major award for the Kilkenny based company following founder and CEO Terry Clune winning Entrepreneur of the Year in October 2009 and the company being named a Deloitte Best Managed Company in Ireland in March.

The European Business Awards is an independent awards programme which recognises organisations that have proven themselves to have the ability to innovate and generate financial growth, despite economic challenges.

Taxback.com, which provides specialist tax, finance and travel services for clients in more than 200 countries, has undergone exponential growth since its establishment in Dublin in 1996.

Despite the global economic downturn, taxback.com has a forecasted turnover of €115.18m for 2010, reflecting 35 per cent growth across the company.

Managing director Fidelma McGuirk said the key to the company's rapid success was constantly find new ways of innovating and diversifying to meet the changing needs of clients.

"This award is recognition that our client-focused approach to business expansion is working," said Ms McGuirk. "Our objective is to satisfy the increasing tax and financial needs people have in doing business abroad – either working themselves across countries or representing their corporate employer. Pursuing this objective, taxback.com has grown from being an international tax reclamation company to one whose services span visa services and international money transfers – with clients in over 200 countries."

As a country representative at the European Business Awards, taxback.com will be judged by a prestigious panel of economists, academics, business leaders, politicians and media owners. Adrian Tripp, chief executive of the European Business Awards, said, "each year we witness impressive entries from some outstanding companies who have some great stories to tell. This year is no different; the quality of applicants is rising as are the number of entrants, so these organisations who have achieved Country Representative status truly are the best of the best."
