Namibia Tax: Environmental tax legislation is being finalized

During the 2010/2011 budget speech on 30 March 2010, the Minister of Finance  of Namibia indicated that the legislation for an environmental levy announced in the 2009/2010 budget is in the process of being finalized.

The tax is expected to take the form of a duty imposed on environmental damaging substances.
