California Tax: New Assessor for Los Angeles County

Effective April 1, 2010, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors appointed Robert Quon as the Los Angeles County Assessor.

Mr. Quon will complete the term of Rick Auerbach who retired in March 2010. Mr. Quon graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a major in Economics and Accounting. He has over 38 years of experience with the Los Angeles County Assessor's Office. In 2009, Mr. Quon was promoted to Assistant Assessor. He has represented Los Angeles County on various subcommittees of the California Assessors' Association and has held multiple offices within the Los Angeles Chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers.
