Finland Tax: VAT rates to increase on 1 July 2010

All Finnish VAT rates will increase on 1 July 2010. The standard VAT rate in Finland will increase from 22% to 23%, the reduced rate for foodstuffs and animal feed and restaurant and catering services will be 13% (instead of the current 22%) and the reduced rate for certain goods and services (e.g. passenger transport, accommodations, cultural and recreational events, books, etc.) will be 9% instead of the current 8%.
