International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA)

The International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) is a motor fuels excise tax agreement between the 48 U.S. jurisdiction states and 10 Canadian provinces.

International Fuel Tax Agreement is designed to promote the most efficient use of the North American highway system by uniformly administering the motor fuels taxation laws for commercial vehicles operated in the member jurisdictions.
