Thailand tax: Board of Investment (BOI) promotion

Companies in Thailand engaged in business activities for which they have received Board of Investment (BOI) promotion currently are required to report their financial and operational status to the BOI in hard copy.

In an effort to enhance efficiency, the BOI has initiated an online system for companies with BOI-promoted activities to submit the reports. Such companies may log in at https://boieservices.boi.go.th/PM ("e-service") using the company's 13-digit registration number as their user ID and the password sent by the BOI to check documents/information and to file the reports online.

Companies that have not requested a user ID may apply for one at the Investment Information Center or the BOI regional center in which their promoted business activities are located. The electronic reporting system is expected to become fully implemented and operational as from 2010, at which time reports in hard copy will be no longer be required.
