Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) describes tax proposals in White House budget package
The Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) staff has released its descriptions of the
business tax provisions (including oil and gas taxes) and
individual tax provisions (including estate and gift taxes) that were included in the fiscal 2010 budget package that President Obama sent to Congress in May. Descriptions of international tax provisions in the budget are expected to be released in the coming days.
The JCT staff routinely issues descriptions of tax provisions in presidential budget proposals. These documents are among the many resources that members of Congress and their staffers may consult as they develop tax legislation.
