Hawaii Tax: State Tax department to Hold Tax Practitioners' Forum

Hawaii State Department of Taxation will hold its 12th annual Tax Practitioners' Forum on Friday, June 5, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., in the Princess Ruth Ke'elikolani Building, 830 Punchbowl Street, Room 310.

The Tax Practitioner's Forum is an annual informal meeting of Tax Department staff and Hawai'i tax practitioners to discuss tax issues, brainstorm new ideas and address questions regarding Department positions and procedures. This is not a continuing education class, but is an opportunity for those who prepare taxes in our community to make their concerns known and to enter into an informal dialog with the Department. Tax Practitioners' Forum will be hosted by Kurt Kawafuchi, Director of Taxation.

Tax Practitioners who would like to participate in the Tax Practitioners' Forum may register by email at tax.training.outreach@hawaii.gov or call the Rules Office at (808) 587-1530. The registration deadline for Tax Practitioners' Forum is May 26, 2009.
