DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE, TAX DIVISION Revised Electronic Submission Process and Format of Monthly Information Reporting Form
The Department of Revenue is cancelling public workshops originally scheduled for Tuesday, January 20 and January 27, 2009 for revising its existing electronic process and format used to submit the "Monthly Information Reporting Form".
The department has determined that an alternative approach that embodies the following concepts will be more efficient for both the department and taxpayers:
. Eliminating interim reporting changes
. Supporting a more long term solution
. Promoting efficiency and sustainability
In conjunction with this cancellation, the department has also approved the use of last year's filing method for taxpayers to report their 2008 Annual Information. Taxpayers may use the DOR Annual Information Form 2008, Form number 0405-340.08, which can be found on the Tax Division's website at: http://www.tax.alaska.gov/programs/programs/forms/index.aspx?60652, or by selecting the "Forms" tab from our Tax News page.
