Mizoram tax: Mizoram to introduce tax reforms

Mizoram Taxation Minister, Mr. J.H. Rothuama said, the Congress government is in action to introduce tax reform in the near future.

Addressing State Level Consultation on Tax Reforms organized by PRISM in Information Department's Auditorium on June 28, the Minister underlined the need for prompt payment of taxes for bonofide citizens of the country.

He also said that the Department is taking initiative to make proper land survey and records in Aizawl town and other parts of the state covering individual land holdings.

In this consultation meeting, Prof Lianzela presented a paper on augmentation of tax net which was followed by a discussion.
