Tools and Strategies to Address Changes in Affirmative Action and OFCCP Regulations
MAXIMUS and Newland Associates to Host Webinar for HR Professionals
RESTON, Va., Jun 22, 2010 -- MAXIMUS Tax Credit and Employer Services, a division of MAXIMUS, Inc., and Newland Associates, a leading full-service talent management firm, will be offering a free, one-hour webinar on Tuesday, June 29th at 2:00 PM (ET) titled, "Affirmative Action and the New OFCCP: What to Expect and How to Comply." MAXIMUS Tax Credit and Employer Services and Newland Associates recently formed a strategic alliance to provide mutual recruitment solutions to their clients.
The webinar -- the second in a series of Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) best practice events hosted by MAXIMUS Tax Credit and Employer Services -- is an opportunity for HR executives, managers and recruiters to learn about sophisticated, yet easy-to-employ, recruitment tools and strategies for maintaining compliance with OFCCP regulations. The webinar will cover:
-- The impact and challenges of changing OFCCP regulations
-- The roles of community-based organizations, social media and new on-boarding technology
-- The importance of data collection and reporting
The webinar will feature Robert Newland, a former Compliance Officer for the OFCCP and the founder of Newland Associates. While with OFCCP, Mr. Newland was involved in numerous Affirmative Action plan audits and investigations of alleged discrimination. In his current role with Newland Associates, he supports a broad range of clients through OFCCP audits and Affirmative Action planning.
"While technology continues to reshape the way we do business, the OFCCP is changing the tone of Affirmative Action compliance," said Newland. "This webinar is a forum to discuss how these two realities come together and what employers can do to maintain effective operations."
"During this time of increased scrutiny and evolving regulations, we are excited to join forces with Newland Associates to present HR professionals with an additional set of tools to improve compliance," commented Mark Andrekovich, President of MAXIMUS Tax Credit and Employer Services.
