Scotland Tax: Hunter calls for more tax control

One of Scotland's top entrepreneurs wants greater tax powers for Holyrood to help improve business prospects.

Sir Tom Hunter's comments follow a separate campaign for more financial powers, which is supported by a growing list of academics and business leaders.

Outlining his opinion in The Times newspaper, after new figures showed a drop in business start-up activity in Scotland, he said one way to face the challenges of unemployment and reduced spending was to enhance tax powers.
