Industry's Fastest "Legislature-to-Live"(SM) Release Cycle Enables Timely Delivery of Extensive Updates for the UK, India, Singapore, US and Canada
Rimini Street, Inc., the leading third-party maintenance and support provider for enterprise software, including Oracle Corporation's software, today announced delivery of its Tax, Legal and Regulatory Update 2010-C for the United States and Canada. The company also announced the delivery of comprehensive global tax, legal and regulatory updates for the UK, Singapore and India. As in all previous releases, Rimini Street has delivered tax, legal and regulatory updates ahead of the software vendors' own planned release dates for equivalent updates.
Tax, Legal and Regulatory Update 2010-C includes numerous North American payroll tax changes for U.S. and Canadian clients that will keep them in compliance with all applicable tax, legal and regulatory requirements. At the U.S. federal level, the update includes support for the new Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment (HIRE) Act which provides employers with an exemption from the employer's share of social security tax on wages paid to qualifying employees. Rimini Street has promptly delivered this new legislation update that will allow employers to easily identify, track, report and obtain credit for eligible employees.
Tax, Legal and Regulatory Update 2010-C also includes changes to withholding tables, unemployment insurance taxable wage base figures, minimum wage amounts, and garnishments for several states including Delaware, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Arizona. Updates to Canadian provincial tax tables for British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Ontario are also included.
Numerous global tax updates are also available for Singapore, where compliance with the Foreign Workers Levy rate changes is effective July 1st for financial year 2010. UK updates include all relevant "start of year" tax and regulatory guidelines, as well as new court order legislation for Scotland. The comprehensive update for India includes changes to tax rates, thresholds and multiple form changes for financial years 2009/10 and 2010/11.
Rimini Street's tax, legal, and regulatory team works with government organizations, secondary sources and tertiary sources to ensure the latest updates for more than 190 countries are immediately identified, analyzed, and scoped for development as needed. The Rimini Street development and quality assurance teams then code, extensively test, package and re-verify updates as necessary for accuracy with government agencies.
