Tibet Tax: Tibet tax revenue reaches 3.5 billion yuan in 2009

Tibet tax revenue had reached 3.467 billion yuan in 2009, up 15 percent year on year, according to Tibet Taxation Bureau.

Tibet Taxation Bureau currently released a list of top Tibet tax payers: "Top 100 Enterprise of Tax Paying", which not only shows the economic strength, but reflects the changes of Tibet's industrial structure.

Industries related to wholesale, retail sale, manufacturing, mining, hold a leading post among the 100 enterprises in Tibet. 32 enterprises engaging in wholesale or retail sale were included in the list with the total tax paying reaching 689.94 million yuan.

In terms of location, 60 percent of the selected Tibet enterprises are in vicinity of Lhasa.
